Labyrinths

After developing an interest in Labyrinths, I designed this “to-be” wildflower labyrinth at the Nature Reserve at Snakehall Farm in Reach, close to Swaffham Prior, Cambridgeshire, for and in collaboration with Prospects Trust.

Snakehall Farm is a fully operational organic farm and the aim of the Nature Reserve is to bring wildlife diversity alive in the area. Prospects Trust provides meaningful work, skills development, and training opportunities for people with additional needs, learning disabilities, or autism – the Co-workers at the Farm. To help improve the fertility of the poor soil on the site of the Nature Reserve here, the aim is for this to become a wild-flower labyrinth. The initial creation consists of a woodchip path winding along with a tilled bed for wildflowers with a beautiful willow-weave bird-hide at the centre.

With the heat and drought we have experienced so far the bare land needs to be covered to prevent drying, so for now we can let the weeds be. We have a few wildflowers finding their way. Time and rain will help the labyrinth grow. If you would like to help contribute to supporting the labyrinth your welcomed support will be received by Prospects Trust Farm.
